Onboarding Request

Use this onboarding service to request system access and resources for a new academic advisor or employee. Please make sure that the end-user's account is already created in the system before submitting a ticket. User accounts can be located by searching the Pace Directory.

Below is a list of the default access that all employees get automatically when their user account is created. There is no need to submit a request for default system access. At the bottom, there's a list of the additional access that you can request for each employee role.

Select the appropriate employee role on the right side to submit your request. >>>

  • For new academic advisor staff in the Central Advising Office, select Advisor Onboarding
  • For other new University employees (staff or faculty), select Employee Onboarding

Default System Access Granted

The following system access is automatically granted to employee accounts (no ticket request needed):

  • Pace Portal
  • Pace Email
  • Classes LMS
  • UKG Ready (Timesheets)
  • Pace Virtual Private Network (VPN)
  • Performance Management Development Process (PMDP)
  • Zoom (User must log in to their Pace Zoom account to activate profile.)

Duo Multifactor Authentication (MFA) Enrollment

Certain Pace systems are further protected with Duo Multifactor Authentication (MFA), which requires the user to enter a numerical passcode to successfully log in to the system. All new employees must enroll a mobile device (e.g. smartphone/tablet) to be able to generate the required 2-Factor authentication passcode. Employees can follow the Duo MFA: First Device Enrollment instructions to enroll a device. If there's any issue with the Duo MFA enrollment process, the employee should contact the ITS Help Desk at 914-773-3333.

Additional Access Being Requested

By submitting an onboarding request, you will be generating multiple tickets on behalf of the employee. Please note that the created tickets will be automatically redirected to the area responsible for reviewing and granting the specified system access. As the requestor, you will receive a confirmation email for each of the new tickets created. Any subsequent inquiries should be performed via the appropriate ticket. The main onboarding form cannot track the status of those tickets and will be closed upon successful submission.
