Computer Lab Remote Access: Desktop is Cutoff or Not Fully Shown When Connecting on Mac

Introduction

Depending on your Mac’s resolution, the desktop displayed to you may not appear entirely when connected to a remote lab computer as shown in the example below.

Instructions

Please use the below instructions to fit the desktop into the entire window.

  1. While connected remotely to the lab computer, hover your mouse to the top of the Mac menu bar
  2. Click Window and select Fit to Window
    Fit to Window
  3. The full desktop should be displayed on your screen
