Pace Portal: Find University ID Number (U#)

Introduction

The University "U" number is a 8 digit numerical identifier that is used in place of Social Security number at Pace University. Students can retrieve their University ID Number (U#) from Pace Portal.

Instructions

Accessing University "U" number

1. Go to https://portal.pace.edu
2. Type your Pace username (e.g. jd12345n) and Pace password
   
3. Click LOGIN
   
4. Retrieve your Duo passcode when prompted
   
5. From your mobile device, open the Duo Mobile app
   
6. Tap Pace University if the 6-digit passcode is not shown
   
7. Copy the latest passcode generated from the Duo Mobile app
   
   • Note: The generated passcode can only be used once. To generate a new one, wait 30 seconds for Duo to refresh a new passcode. 
      
8. Returning to Pace Portal page, enter in the 6-digit passcode generated from the Duo Mobile app or hardware token
   
   • Note: Duo Multifactor Authentication (MFA) Passcode Requirement: Faculty, staff, students and contractors with temp accounts are required to provide an additional passcode to complete their 2-factor authentication to gain entry into Pace Portal. To enroll a device for the first time, please visit Duo First Device Enrollment page. Please see additional instructions for using Duo prompt.
      
9. Click Verify button
   
10. If prompted, click the Yes, trust browser button to skip the passcode entry step for a predetermined number of future logins when accessing the system using the same device and browser.
    
    •  Note: We recommend you click No, do not trust browser when using a shared or public device.
       
11. You will then be directed to the Pace Portal Home page, University ID (U Number) is located above your email address

1. Click Student Home
   
2. Click Student Profile
   
3. University ID (U Number) is located on the top left side of the screen next to your name
