Skype for Business: Starting an Unscheduled Meeting for Windows

Introduction

NOTICE: This system/service is scheduled to be retired in December 2025.

For spontaneous meetings, use the Meet Now feature in Skype for Business. It allows you to hold impromptu meetings without the need to schedule beforehand in Outlook.

Instructions

1. Click the down arrow next to the Options icon in the Skype for Business window
2. Select Meet Now
   
3. Select your audio preference and click OK
   
4. A meeting conversation window will open and you will be able to invite participants using the Invite button
   
5. Type the user's name and select the person from the list
   
6. Click OK button
