Pharos: Installing the Pace Print Client

Introduction

In order to print documents directly from your computer, you will need to first install the Pace Print Client.

Instructions

Windows: Black and White Print Client

1. Navigate to the Printing Client Download page
2. Click the Print Client (Windows- Black and White only) link
   
3. When prompted, click Run to allow PacePrintingPopUp_for_Lte.exe to start
   
4. Click Yes if prompted to allow PacePrintingPopUp_for_Lte.exe to run on your computer
   
    
5. Click Install
   
    
   • Note: The modules for the Print Client will take a few moments to download.
      
6. Click Finish once the installation is complete
   
   • Note: Once the client has been installed, Pace_Printing_Popup will appear as a selection of available printers.

Windows: Color Print Client

1. Navigate to the Printing Client Download page
2. Click the Print Client (Windows - Color only) link
   
   • Note: Color prints can only be released at the Tech Zone, Computer Resource Center, Birnbaum Library and Mortola Library locations.
      
3. When prompted, click Run to allow PaceColorCanonPopup_for_Lte.exe to start
4. Click Yes if prompted to allow PaceColorCanonPopup_for_Lte.exe to run on your computer
5. Click Install
   
   • Note: The modules for the Print Client will take a few moments to download.
      
6. Click Finish once the installation is complete
   
   • Note: Once the client has been installed, PaceColorCanonPopup will appear as a selection of available printers.

Mac: Black & White and Color Print Client

1. Navigate to the Printing Client Download page
2. Click the Print Client (Mac) link
   
   • Note: Color prints can only be released at the Tech Zone, Computer Resource Center, Birnbaum Library and Mortola Library locations.
      
3. Double click the PaceMacColorBW.dmg you downloaded
4. Double click the Popup.pkg
   ​​​​​​
5. Click Continue then Continue again
   
6. Click Install
   
7. Enter your Mac’s Password and click Install Software
   
8. Once completed, click Close
   • You will now see PaceBW and PaceColor as available printers. Note: Color
     prints can only be released at the Birnbaum and Mortola Libraries
   • If you had the old Print Client installed, to remove go click the in the top left
     corner. Click System Preferences and then click Printers & Scanners
   • Click the name you gave the old print client and then click the minus button to
     delete.
