Introduction
Pace University active student, staff, or faculty can sponsor wireless-only guest accounts for off-campus visitors that require wireless network access. When sponsoring guests, you can create and manage their user accounts via the self-service Guest Account Sponsor Portal.
Notes:
- Only faculty and staff can create bulk guest accounts.
- Guest accounts can be created up to 30 days prior to the start date.
- For more advanced access (e.g.: Pace temp/contractor accounts), please refer to the Advanced (Temp/Contractor) Account article for more details.
Instructions
Sponsor wireless-only guest accounts for visiting guests who require wireless network access.
Sign In
- Visit https://sponsor.pace.edu
- Type your Pace Portal Username and Password

- Click checkbox next to Agree to

- Click Sign On
- Note: Once signed in, the home screen shows tabs along the top, including: Create Accounts, Manage Accounts, Pending Accounts, and Notices.
Create Guest Accounts
- From the Create Accounts tab, under Guest Information, click the Random tab
- Note: The Random tab is only available to faculty and staff to create bulk guest accounts.

- Type number of accounts to create under Number of accounts
- (Optional) Type a prefix under Username prefix - this adds a text string to the beginning of each created account (e.g., prefix "wifi" creates username "wifi321")
- Note: The Access Information section is where you enter the start date/time and end date/time for wireless guest access.
- Click From Date and From Time fields to select (or type) start date and start time
- Note: The From Date must be 30 days or less from the current date.
- Click To Date and To Time fields to select (or type) end date and end time
- Note: Once you have specified the start date/time and end date/time from the access information section, the Duration field automatically populates with the number of days that wireless access will be granted (up to 30 days maximum).
- Click Create
- Note: The screen will display a list of the created Random accounts.
Print or Copy List of Accounts to Distribute
- Click Print to print the created accounts. Each account will be printed on a separate sheet. (i.e.; 20 Accounts = 20 printed pages).

- Highlight all accounts
- Press CTRL + C to copy highlighted text
- Open a new email message or other application (e.g.; Excel, Word)
- Press CTRL + V to paste highlighted text
- Click Done on Account Information screen
- Note: You may sign out by clicking on your username on the upper right hand corner of the screen.
- Distribute accounts to guests for use on the PACE-GUEST wireless network
All guests should connect to PACE-GUEST by following the Connecting to PACE-GUEST (WIFI) instructions.
Note: You can access existing active guest accounts you created by logging back in to the Guest Account Sponsor Portal and clicking Manage Accounts tab.
