Brightspace/Classes: Create a Turnitin Assignment

Introduction

This article shows you how to create a Turnitin assignment in Classes.

Instructions

  1. Click on Activities and select Assignments from the navbar
  2. Select New Assignment
  3. Enter a Name for the assignment
  4. On the bottom right, expand the Evaluation & Feedback section

  5. Click Manage Turnitin

  6. Select Enable GradeMark for this folder

  7. (Optional) Select Enable Originality CheckĀ® for this folder to turn on the originality report
  8. Select Save when finished
  9. (Optional) If grading, enter a score in the Score Out Of box. This will automatically create a grade item in Grades.
  10. (Optional) Add a Due Date to put this assignment in the Course Calendar. Students can submit after the due date, but will be marked as late.
  11. (Optional) In the Instructions section enter any instructions the students need to know to complete the assignment
  12. Click the Save and Close button
