Brightspace/Classes: Enabling Respondus Lockdown Browser for Quizzes

Introduction

This article shows the steps on how to enable Lockdown Browser for a quiz.

Instructions

1. In your course, click on Activities and Quizzes in the blue navbar
2. Click on the Lockdown Browser tab
   
3. You will be brought to the below screen and click Continue to LockDown Browser
   
4. Click the dropdown arrow next to the assessment you want to enable the lockdown browser for and click Settings
   
5. Click the radio dial next to the text Require Respondus LockDown Browser for this exam
   
6. You can Save + Close or go on to add more settings
7. Click the plus sign to expand the Advanced Settings.  Check and uncheck the settings as desired.
   
8. To require students to enable their webcams to record themselves taking an exam, click the radio dial next to the text Require Respondus Monitor for this exam
   
9. If you chose to require a webcam, additional options will display.  Check and uncheck them as desired.  Click preview to see how a student experiences these optional settings.
   
10. Click Save + Close to exit
