NVivo: Installing on Mac

Introduction

Pace students, faculty, and staff can also download the software on their own computers by following the steps below.

Note: The minimum system requirements for installation, please see below:

• Memory: 4GB RAM or higher
• Disk Space: 8GB or higher
• Operating System: MacOS 12 (Monterey) or higher

Instructions

1. Go to the ADAM page
2. Click NVivo 15
3. Enter your Pace Username and Password
   
4. Click on New Mac Install and download file
5. Double Click the NVivo15-Mac.zip file you downloaded to Extract the zipped folder
   
   • Note: This is typically downloaded to your Downloads folder
      
6. Open the NVivo15-Mac folder you extracted
   
7. Double click NVivo15.dmg
   
8. Drag NVivo 15 into your Applications folder
   
9. Once NVivo 15 has been copied, open the your Applications folder and double click NVivo 15 to launch
   
   • Note: You will need to grant NVivo Full Disk Access to run the software and a prompt will appear.
      
10. Click Open Security & Privacy
    
11. In the Full Disk Access window, toggle the switch NVivo 15
    
12. Use Touch ID or Password to grant NVivo 15 Full Disk Access 
    

13. Click Agree on the End User License Agreement
    

14. Copy the License Key found in the LicenseKey.txt file located in the same folder you extracted
    

15. Click or provide enterprise key to activate
    

16. Paste the License Key into the NVivo Setup window, click I agree... and click Next
    

17. Fill in the required fields to complete activation and then click Activate
    

18. Activation will complete and you can now begin using NVivo 15
