Introduction
Microsoft Teams is a unified communications platform that combines persistent workplace chat, video meetings, file storage, application integration, and many other features. As part of the University's Office 365 subscription, faculty and staff can download and install Teams software by going to https://teams.microsoft.com/downloads, or from the Office 365 Portal at https://portal.office.com.
IMPORTANT! Sensitive information including personally-identifiable information (PII) should not be stored in any online (cloud) file hosting platform, including Microsoft Teams.

- Store files in a document library which can be accessed by team members

Instructions
Requesting a Teams workspace
To request a teams workspace, please submit a help desk ticket request via Teams/SharePoint Request link (after logging in, the ticket form will populate with the correct request type). Each team created will also get a team site in SharePoint Online, which allows the team to share and store their files in an effective way. Teams integrates directly with SharePoint Online and OneDrive for file storage.
