What is Federal Work Study?

Federal Work Study is a need-based Federal aid program which provides students with an allotment (up to $2,500/year) in Federal Work Study funds.  These funds are earned, via bi-weekly paycheck, by applying for, obtaining and working a job on-campus.  These funds are not deducted from a students' Pace University charges.

Use of the award is contingent upon availability of a suitable job opening.  Most students approved for Work Study can be placed in jobs; however, we cannot guarantee job placement.

It is the student’s responsibility to contact the Student Employment Office to inquire about job vacancies.  Federal Work Study funds are paid directly to the student, semi-monthly, for the number of hours worked and are not applied directly to University charges.  For information regarding student employment opportunities available please visit the student employment page of the Pace Human Resources website: http://www.pace.edu/human-resources/employment-pace/student-employment-applying-on-campus-jobs.
