Academic Leave of Absence

Leave of absences (LOA) need to be filed when a student plans on leaving for a semester (Fall or Spring) or plans on withdrawing from the university (transferring, etc.)

Academic Leave of Absence Process:

  • Meet with your academic advisor to discuss taking a leave of absence

  • All courses must be dropped/withdrawn before submitting the electronic leave of absence form

  • The form will be processed once your academic advisor has approved the leave

  • Deadline to file for a leave of absence is the last day of the semester
