Device App Updates

Introduction

It is important to update your apps in order to access the latest features, improvements, and security patches. This article is meant to guide you through the process of updating apps tailored to your specific device's app store.

Instructions

Apple App Store

1. Tap to open the App Store
   
2. Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen
   
3. Scroll down to see pending updates and recently updated apps.
   • Note: if there is an available update for an app, the button will be labeled as Update. Otherwise, if the button displays Open, it indicates that there are no pending updates available.
      
4. Tap Update All to update all apps -or- Tap Update next to an individual app
   
5. if prompted, enter your Apple ID password or FaceID/Touch ID
   

Google Play Store

1. Tap to open the Google Play Store
   
2. Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen
   
3. Tap Manage apps & device
   
4. Tap See details
   
5. Tap Update all for all pending apps  -or-  Tap Update next to an individual app
   

• Note: If an update is available for an app, a button labeled Update will be visible. Otherwise, if the app is not displayed, it indicates there are no pending updates.

Microsoft Store

1. Click to open the Microsoft Store
   
2. Select Library located at the bottom left corner
   
3. Apps with an update available will be labeled as Update
   
   • Note: If there is an available update for an app, it will be labeled as Update available. Otherwise, if the button displays a Modified date next to an Open button, it indicates that there are no pending updates for the app.
      
4. Click Update all to update all apps 
   -or- 
   Click Update next to an app
   
5. If prompted, enter your Microsoft account password
