Brightspace/Classes: Enabling Synchronous Timing in a Quiz

Introduction

This article will instruct on how to enable synchronous timing in a quiz.

Instructions

1. Navigate to the quiz
2. Click to expand the Availability Dates & Conditions section
   
3. Select the start date and time under the Start Date section
   • Note: The time field will appear once you select a date
     
4. Click to expand the Timing & Display section
   
5. Click the check box next to Set time limit to include a time limit
   
6. Type the number of minutes learners have to take the quiz in the text box
   
7.  Click Timer Settings
   
8. Select Synchronous: Timer starts on the start date
   • Note: The Start Date and Time's Up will display once you select Synchronous: Timer starts on the start date
     
9. Select one of the three time limit expiration options and click OK
   
10. Click Save and Close
