Introduction
Microsoft Teams meetings can be scheduled through various platforms, including Outlook, the Teams desktop application, and the web browser. This flexibility allow users to easily set up meetings from their preferred interface. For participants who are unable to attend in person, Microsoft Teams offers options to join meetings virtually from any location.
Instructions
Scheduling a Meeting on Desktop
- Select Calendar on the left sidebar

- Click the New meeting on the top right of the Calendar screen

- Provide all needed new meeting information in the Details tab
- OPTIONAL: Click on the Scheduling Assistant tab to check the availability of your attendees and find a suitable time slot.
- Under the Details tab, set Additional options as described below:
- Show As: Choose your availability status during the meeting time (Free, Tentative, Busy, Out of Office).
- Category: Assign a color-coded label to categorize your meeting if needed
- Time Zone: Set the appropriate time zone for the meeting by clicking on the Time Zone dropdown.
- Response Options: Manage how attendees can respond by enabling or disable response options and/or prevent attendees from forwarding the meeting invitation to others.
- On the right side select
to access who can by pass the lobby and select the desired option

- Under Details tab, enter a title for your meeting

- Add Attendees to invite

- Set the start and end date and time for your meeting

- If this is a recurring meeting, select repeat dropdown menu and set recurrence pattern.

- If needed, add a channel/team/group from the list

- If needed, type the Meeting location

- Type any additional details or an agenda for the meeting.

- Click Save
