SafeColleges (Vector LMS): Known Issue with Apple Mac/iPhone Devices

Introduction

As of August 2026, there is a known issue that impacts our SafeColleges (Vector LMS) compliance training site. The vendor reported that a recent Apple software update introduced a bug that prevents courses from launching for iPhone and Mac devices. Users on other devices are not affected by this bug.

Explanation

Vector's engineering team is actively investigating a permanent fix. In the meantime, please read below for more details about the issue and suggested workarounds until the issue is resolved.

Affected users (learners and administrators) may be using:

  • iPhone with Safari
  • iPhone with Chrome
  • Mac with Safari

Affected users may experience the following:

  • Clicking to launch a course does nothing, or the course window opens and immediately closes
  • The course window opens to a blank or white screen
  • You are returned to the Vector LMS, Education Edition course list without the course loading
  • A login or authentication error appears when the course tries to open

The following devices are not affected:

  • Android phones and tablets (any browser)
  • Mac computers using Chrome-based browsers (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge)
  • Windows computers (any browser)

Suggested Workarounds:

  • Recommended - Use an unaffected device or browser to complete your SafeColleges training
  • Temporarily turn off the setting on your iPhone or Mac to prevent cross-site tracking
