Introduction
Pharos Mobile app enables students to send print outs to the Pharos queue via iOS or Android device. Instructions for each mobile device are below.
Note: Devices are required to be connected to Pace WiFi, Ethernet, or VPN network. The following file formats are supported for printing:
- Microsoft Office documents
- PDF files
- Images (JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP)
- Text files (CSV, RTF & TXT)

iOS Pharos Print App
Instructions to Installing Configuring the iOS Pharos Print App
- Search for Pharos Print in the Apple App Store and install the app
- On initial launch of the application, enter the following for the Server Address and Server Port fields
- Server Address: printing.pace.edu
- Server Port: 443
- Note: Devices are required to be connected to Pace WiFi, Ethernet, or VPN network to proceed forward.
- Then login with your Pace Portal Username and Password
- Once logged in, you will see your funds. You now can upload documents to the Pharos queue in iOS.
Instructions to Sending Print Job to Pharos
- Open the email attachment or app compatible with Pharos printing
- Tap the Share button
- Side scroll till you see the Copy to Pharos Print app and Tap on it.
Note: If the option above is not available, please click on the More option to see if the list of suggestions containing the Copy to Pharos Print option.
- Adjust your print options (double/single sided, color, pages per side, quantity) via the icons at the bottom.
- Click Apply Changes to submit to the Pharos queue.
- Your print job will be listed under My Prints
Note: Print jobs can be released at any Pharos Release Station and will remain in the print queue up to 3 hours from the time it was sent.
Android Pharos Print App
Instructions to Installing Configuring the Android Pharos Print App
- Search for Pharos Print in the Google Play Store and install the app
- On initial launch of the app, enter the following for the Server Address and Server Port fields
- Server Address: printing.pace.edu
- Server Port: 443
Note: Devices are required to be connected to Pace WiFi, Ethernet, or VPN network to proceed forward.
- Then login with your Pace Portal Username and Password
- Once logged in, you will see your Job List and Activity. You now can upload documents to the Pharos queue in Android OS.
Instructions to Sending Print Job to Pharos
The below example uploads a stored word document attached to the Pharos queue.
- Tap the Upload button within the Job List tab to submit a job to the Pharos queue in Android.
- If you receive the following message, you must grant the Pharos Print Storage Permissions in App Permissions located in Settings.
- In App Permissions, choose Pharos Print and toggle Storage to On.
- Browse to the file you would like to upload and select the file
- Select the print job shown on the Job List and adjust your print options (color, double/single sided, pages per side and copies) as per your requirement.
- The document will then be updated to the Pharos queue.
Note: Print jobs can be released at any Pharos Release Station Location and will remain in the print queue up to 3 hours from the time it was sent.
