OneDrive: Mobile App for Android

Introduction

OneDrive app provides functionality to access files on the Office 365 cloud storage. This enables access to all your documents, pictures, and videos so you can work from anywhere. The following instructions cover OneDrive app features to manage your content.

Note: Those using the OneDrive for iOS, please refer to the OneDrive for iOS article.

Instructions

Install OneDrive on Android

  1. Download and install Microsoft OneDrive from Google Play store

  2. Open the OneDrive app
  3. Tap Sign in

  4. Type your Pace Portal username and tap the Blue Arrow blue arrow
    Sign In
  5. Type your Pace Portal email address and your password and tap Sign in
    Pace Login
  6. If prompted, complete the series of prompts to finish the log in process

Create a Folder

  1. Tap the Files view

  2. Navigate to the location where you would like to the create folder
  3. Tap the Plus plus icon to the top right hand corner

  4. Tap Create folder

  5. Tap where it says New folder and type the name of the folder

  6. Tap OK

Search for Files and Folders

  1. Tap the magnifying glass to the top right

  2. Type a word or phrase and hit the enter button
  3. Tap on the file name to open

Manually Upload Photos and Videos

  1. Tap the Plus plus icon to the top right hand corner

  2. Tap Take a Photo to open your device's camera app
    -or-
    Tap Upload for existing media on your device

    • If you chose Take a Photo or Video, follow instructions below:
      1. If prompted to access your camera, tap Allow
        Access
      2. Take a photo or video
      3. Confirm your selection
    • If you chose Upload, follow instructions below:
      1. If prompted to access your photos, media, and files, tap Allow
        Access
      2. Search and select photos and videos to upload
      3. Tap OPEN or SELECT to complete selection

Automatically Upload Photos and Videos

  1. When you sign in to OneDrive for the first time, you'll be asked if you'd like to automatically upload photos and videos you take on your phone to OneDrive. Tap Turn on/Enable to turn on automatic upload. You can also turn this on from Settings in your Android device
  2. Tap the Me Me icon

  6. Select the appropriate account

  7. Toggle button to switch on for Camera upload

  8. Tap CONFIRM

  10. If prompted to access your photos, media, and files, tap Allow
  11. If necessary, adjust the options as needed

Note: The camera roll on your device uploads to OneDrive, rather than syncing. That means you can delete uploaded photos and videos from your device, and the copies in OneDrive won't be affected.

Move Files and Folders to a Different Folder

  1. Navigate to the file or folder you wish to move in the Files view

  2. Tap the Ellipsis Ellipsis to the right of the file or folder

  4. Tap the folder you want the file or folder moved to
  5. Tap MOVE HERE

Delete a File or Folder

  1. Tap and hold the file you want to delete

    • Note: To delete multiple files by checking the circles next to each additional file or Folder you want to delete.
       
  2. Tap Delete  Delete icon

Make Files and Folders Available Offline

  1. Tap the Ellipsis Ellipsis to the right of the file or folder

  3. Confirm file or folder has a Green green check icon in the list view

Share a OneDrive File or Folder

  1. Tap the Ellipsis Ellipsis to the right of the file or folder

  3. Tap and select who you would like to share with

  4. Tap check box if you would like to Allow Editing

  5. If available, toggle button to switch between on or off to block downloading

    • Note: When Block download is switched on, the file being shared can not be downloaded. Allow editing has to be unchecked to have this options available.
       
  6. Tap Apply

  7. Type a name (e.g. Doe, Mr. John) or email address. If shown, select from the list of names. This step can be repeated to add more users.

  9. Tap Send
