Exchange Online (Office 365): Email Account Setup for Samsung Email App

Introduction

Pace students, faculty, and staff can set up their Exchange Online (Office 365) email account on their Samsung Email mobile app by following the steps below.

Note:

• These instructions were created using Samsung Edge S9+ with Android version 10 and Samsung Email version 6.1.61.1.
• Some steps and images below may be different for other Samsung email app versions.

Note: If you have a previous Pace Exchange email account setup on your device, please follow the steps below to delete it before you complete the new setup steps.

Instructions

Setting up Exchange Online (Office 365) Email Account

1. Find the Samsung Email app on your device and click to open it
   
   • Note: The email account can also be setup through the phones Settings > Accounts and backup > Manage accounts
      
2. Click the  hamburger icon (3 horizontal lines) on top of screen
3. Click the  gear icon on top of screen
4. Click Add account
   
   • Note: If you have other email accounts set up in Samsung Email, they will also display on the list.
      
5. Click Office 365
   
6. Enter your full Pace email address (e.g. jdoe@pace.edu) and click Next
   
7. Enter your Pace password and click Sign in
   
8. Enter your Duo Multifactor Authentication (MFA) passcode when prompted and click Log In
   
   • Note: If you check the Remember me for 6 days checkbox, you’ll be able to sign into your Exchange Online email for 6 days without being prompted for your Duo MFA passcode.
      
9. Click Continue to confirm that you are signing into Samsung Email
   
10. Click Apply to review the IT policy security settings
    
11. Click Done when ready
    
12. Your account will be set up. As an option, you can edit the displayed account name. Click Done when ready
    

Deleting Existing Pace Exchange Email Account

1. Find the Samsung Email app on your device and click to open it
   
2. Click the  hamburger icon (3 horizontal lines) on top of screen
3. Click the gear icon on top of screen
4. Click on the email account to delete
   
   • Note: If you have additional email accounts set up in Samsung Email, they will also display on the list.
      
5. Click Remove on top right of screen
   
6. Click Remove again to confirm account deletion
   

Note: The account will be removed.
