Introduction
The steps below explains how to install SPSS 26 on Windows.
Note:
Active faculty, staff, and students can download and install SPSS 28 from the ADAM website on the following devices:
Personal computers (i.e.: desktops or laptops)
Pace-owned laptops
For Pace-owned on-campus Windows desktop PCs, users will need to submit a
Help Desk Ticket
In order to run the installation, at least 4GB of free disk space and 4GB RAM are required.
The operating system must be Windows 10
Instructions
Go to the
ADAM
page to download SPSS
Click
SPSS
Enter your Pace
Username
and
Password
Click on
New Windows Install
and download the
SPSS Installation File
and
SPSS License Authorization File
Double click the
SSC_64-bit_28.0.0.0.MWins.exe
file you downloaded.
Note: This is typically downloaded to your
Downloads
folder
Click
Next >
click
Next >
to review the terms in the license agreement
Accept the terms in the license agreement
and click
Next >
.
Again
accept the terms in the license agreement
and click
Next >
.
Click
Next >
on the Destination Folder window
Click
Install
If prompted, click
Yes
on the User Account Control Window
Click
Finish
when the install completes
The
Activate IBM SPSS Statistics
window will open and click
Launch License Wizard
.
If it does not, open the
IBM SPSS Statistics
folder in your start menu
and click on
IBM SPSS Statistics 26 License Authorization Wizard
If prompted, click
Yes
on the User Account Control Window
Click
Next >
Choose
Authorized user license
on the
Product Authorization
windows and click
Next >
Open the
License Authorization – SPSS28.txt
file you downloaded from ADAM. Highlight and copy the
code
.
Paste the
code
into the text box on the
IBM SPSS Statistics Licensing
window and click
Add
. Then click
Next >
Click
Next >
once authorization is successful then
Finish
You may now begin using the SPSS software. The program can be found in your Start Menu under the
IBM SPSS Statistics
folder named
IBM SPSS Statistics.
