NVivo: Installing on Windows

Introduction

Pace students, faculty, and staff can also download the software on their own computers by following the steps below.

Note: The minimum system requirements for installation, please see below:

• Memory: 4GB RAM or higher
• Disk Space: 5GB or higher
• Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit or higher

Instructions

1. Go to the ADAM page
2. Click NVivo 15
3. Enter your Pace Username and Password
   
4. Click on New Windows Install and download file
5. Right Click the NVivo15-Win.zip file you downloaded
   • Note: This is typically downloaded to your Downloads folder
6. Click Extract All then Extract
   -or-
   Select 7-Zip > Extract Files then OK
   
7. Double Click the NVivo15.x64.exe file inside the NVivo15-Win folder you extracted to begin install
8. Select your Language and click OK
9. Click Next >
   
10. Accept the terms in the license agreement and click Next >
    
11. Click Next>
    
12. Check or Uncheck the boxes to install the NCapture web browser extensions (optional for gathering material from websites) and click Next >
    
13. Click Install
    
14. Click Finish and NVivo 15 will launch
15. Copy the License Key found in the LicenseKey.txt file located in the same folder you extracted
    
16. Click or provide enterprise key to activate
    
17. Paste the License Key into the NVivo Setup window, click I agree..., and then click Next
    
18. Fill in the required fields to complete Activation and then click Activate
    
19. Activation will complete and you can now begin using NVivo 15
