Stata: Installing on Mac

Introduction

The instructions below explain how to install Stata on a Mac computer.

Instructions

1. Go to the https://adam.pace.edu page to download STATA
2. Click Stata 
   
3. Enter your Pace Username and Password, then click Log In
   
4. Click on Download Stata for Mac
5. Double click the StataNow19.pkg you downloaded in the previous step.
   • Note: This is typically downloaded to your Downloads folder
6. Click Continue>
   
7. click Agree to Accept the terms in the license agreement and then click Continue
   
8. Click Continue on the Software License Agreement window
   
9. Choose  STATANow/SE to place a check mark and Click Continue
   
    
10. Click Install on the Install StataNow 19 window
    
     
11. When prompted, provide credentials to install >
    
     
12. Wait for Installation complete writing files
    
13. After Stata is installed,  Open Stata to complete the License Initialization
    
     
14. Enter in your Name and Pace University for Organization.  Then copy and paste the Serial number, Code, and Authorization from the Stata19License.txt file you downloaded from https://adam.pace.edu and click Next
        
     
15. Optional:  Check or Uncheck the box to Register Stata online, then click Next
    
     
16. Optional: Choose a Layout then click Finish
    
     
17. Stata 19 is now installed and licensed
