Stata: Installing on Windows

Introduction

The instructions below explain how to install Stata on a Windows computer.

Instructions

1. Go to https://adam.pace.edu to download STATA
2. Click Stata 
   
3. Enter your Pace Username and Password, then click Log In
4. 
5. Click on Download Stata for Window
6. Double click the SetupStataNow19.exe file you downloaded in the previous step.
   • Note: This is typically downloaded to your Downloads folder
7. Click Next >
   
8. click I accept the terms in the license agreement and then click Next
   
9. Enter a User Name and Pace University for Organization and click Next >.
   
10. Select  StataSE and click Next >
    
11. Click Next > on the Destination Folder window
    
12. Click Next > on the Select Default Working Directory window
    
13. Click Install on the Ready to Install the Program window
    
14. Stata is now installed.  Launch Stata to complete the License Initialization
15.  Enter your Name and Pace University for Organization, then copy and paste the Serial number, Code, and Authorization from the Stata19License.txt file you downloaded from https://adam.pace.edu. 
16. Click Next >
    
17. Optional:  Check or Uncheck the box to Register Stata online, then click Finish
    
18. Stata 19 is now installed and licensed
