Introduction
Never leave a smartphone unattended, even for just a minute. Make it a habit to keep the phone closed at all times. Enable the Lock Screen auto-lock feature on the device. The Lock Screen feature can be found in Settings for most mobile devices.

Instructions
iOS
The instructions below are to enable the lock screen timer for iOS. If you haven't set a passcode, please refer to Apple's passcode article for further details.
- Go to Settings
- Scroll down and press on Display & Brightness
- Press on Auto-Lock
- Select the desired time before the device automatically locks and return to the previous screen
Android
The instructions below are to enable the lock screen timer for Android. If you haven't set a passcode, please refer to Android's passcode article for further details.
- Go to Settings
- Scroll down and press on Display
- Press on Screen timeout
- Select the desired time before the device automatically locks and return to previous screen
