Pace Virtual Private Network (Pace VPN)

Introduction

Virtual Private Networking (VPN) is a software tool that allows Pace end-users to connect securely to the Pace University network from off-campus (e.g. home).  Once you authenticate with your Pace username and password, the VPN software will create an encrypted connection between your off-campus computer and the Pace network.  This will allow you to access network resources as if you were using a computer located on-campus.

Starting on February 12 2024, the VPN login screen will only display Username and Password fields. The Second Password field will be removed, so the generated Duo passcode will need to be entered along with the password in the same Password field, separated by a comma.

The new login format will be:

Username = username
Password = password,duopasscode

Note:

  • All users are required to be enrolled in Duo Multifactor Authentication (MFA) in order to connect to VPN.
  • Connecting to the Pace VPN with Duo MFA requires the use of the Duo Mobile app, which the user must install on his/her mobile device.  If you need further assistance with this procedure, please contact the ITS Help Desk at (914) 773-3333, pacehelpdesk@pace.edu, or Help Desk Ticket.
